Nanotube network transistors have been prepared by pin-point microfluidic deposition of peptide-wrapped unbundled single-walled carbon nanotubes (see picture). Functioning devices exhibited n-type behavior with on/off ratios up to 4×103 in vacuum. Networks of different composition (nanotubes and dispersants) can be deposited in a controlled manner at specific positions on substrates, thus offering great flexibility.
