Abstract

A sequence of enzymatic reactions was used to synthesize the title compound, which is often found terminally bound to glycoproteins and is of interest as a receptor for proteins and as an immunoabsorbent. The two molecules 1 and 2, which are linked in the last step with cleavage of the phosphoric acid moiety, were synthesized using enzymes immobilized on functionalized silica gel.
