Linear and cyclic polysiloxanes with pendant amine moieties have been synthesized via the [(C6H5)3P]3RhCl-catalyzed dehydrogenative alcoholysis of poly(methylhydrosiloxane) (PMHS) or cyclotetra-(methylhydrosiloxane) (D4H) with hydroxyalkylamines.
