Abstract Potassium 2,3,4,5‐tetraphenylphosphol‐l‐ide (I) reacts with cyclopentadienyldicar‐bonyliron iodide yielding cyclopentadienyldicarbonyliron tetraphenylphosphol‐l‐ide (II), which could not be converted into a phosphaferrocene by thermal treatment.
