Abstract

How much do Americans really know about Russia? What are their attitudes toward what they know or think they know? Warren Walsh's answer to these questions, based on recent polls, are so striking and, in some ways, so contrary to current assumptions that they provide basic reading for those seeking a realistic approach to American Russian relations. Dr. Walsh is an Assistant Proffessor of History at Syracuse University and Chairman of the Syracuse University Board of Russian Studies.
