Take it to the limit: Monodisperse nanoparticles of the 3D coordination polymer [Fe(pyrazine){Ni(CN)4}] have been obtained in biopolymer chitosan beads matrix (see picture). These ultra-small nanoparticles (ca. 4 nm) exhibit spin crossover phenomenon with hysteresis.
