Surface Acoustic Wave Resonators on ST-Quartz

Abstract

The experimental and theoretical behavior of surface acoustic wave (SAW) resonators on ST-cut Quartz is described. Because of their zero temperature characteristic and good Q (typically 10,000), ST-cut quartz resonators are of poten- tial interest for narrow-band filtering applications in the VHF-UHF ranges.
