Effect of haptic angulation on posterior capsule opacification in modern foldable lenses with a square, truncated optic edge

Abstract

With the Centerflex IOL, haptic angulation did not seem to be a significant factor influencing PCO. It appears that the barrier effect of the IOL's truncated, square-edged optic overrides the angulation factor in preventing PCO.
