By means of a semi-automatic procedure, scalings taken from the H records of a latitude spread of seven magnetometers, located close to the dip equator in Peru, have been used to investigate the variability of the electrojet on a day-to-day basis for the period from the December solstice to the equinox during a solar minimum. Large daily changes in intensity, position, and width are found, but no correlation between these quantities can be resolved. No systematic seasonal variations are found, but the records reveal a significant lunar modulation of the electroject intensity.
