Neurogenic tumors of the larynx are rare. Holinger and Johnston 1 reported a single case in their review of 1197 benign tumors of the larynx, and Jones et al 2 reported 4 neurogenic tumors in a series including 270 benign tumors of the larynx between 1955 and 1982; Stanley et al 3 identified 15 neurogenic tumors of the larynx in the files of the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, between 1907 and 1986. Approximately 130 cases of neurogenic neoplasms had been reported up to 1993. 4
