The Ni3S2/graphene nanocomposites were designed and successfully prepared by a facile hydrothermal method, using nickel(II) alkyldithiocarbonatio complexes [Ni(S2COC6H11)2] and graphene oxide as the raw materials. Graphene sheets were covered with Ni3S2 nanoparticles having diameters in the range of 8–28 nm. Electrochemical properties showed that Ni3S2/graphene have a lower resistance and a better electrochemical activity. Moreover, the pseudo second-order kinetic model can well-describe the adsorption kinetics of methyl orange on Ni3S2/graphene.
