• A case of severe left ventricular dysfunction and low cardiac output accompanying the toxic shock syndrome was documented by two-dimensional echocardiography and hemodynamic measurements. This dysfunction was reversible over a five-month period. This appears to be a well-documented case of cardiomyopathy and toxic shock syndrome. ( Arch Intern Med 1982;142:1032-1034)
