Ultrasound has gained widespread popularity in several aspects of perioperative and intensive care management. There is now growingevidence of it being a useful tool in the assessment and management of potentially difficult airway. With advances in technology and greaterunderstanding of sonographic clinical anatomy, a greater insight into its uses has been gained. This article gives an overview of the possibleclinical applications of ultrasound in day to day airway management in anaesthesia and intensive care.
