Many inter‐laboratory surveys have revealed wide variations in results of hemagglutination titration studies. Correlation between laboratories is made difficult by the absence of a universal recording system. A notational method is proposed in which agglutination reactions are scored on a numerical gradient from 0 to 12. Numerical scoring of results permits easy analysis and reduces subjective bias.
