Abstract

Routine testing for toxoplasma infection during pregnancy is offered in many European countries. The aim is twofold. To treat infected pregnant women with antibiotics in order to reduce the risk of fetal infection and, if fetal infection has occurred, to reduce the risk of impairment in the child.
