Neutrophil Activation in Preterm Infants Who Have Respiratory Distress Syndrome

Abstract

The observations demonstrate an early transient postnatal neutrophil activation indicative of systemic inflammation that may contribute to the tissue injury in preterm infants with respiratory distress syndrome.
