Risk factors affecting pancreatic fistulas after pancreaticoduodenectomy

Abstract

Our study demonstrated that pancreatic fistulas are related to age and a dilated pancreatic duct. The surgeon must take these risk factors into consideration when performing a pancreaticoduodenectomy.
