An alternative device for randomized responses

Abstract

The present study considers an alternate randomization device in unrelated question randomized response model. The proposed model based estimator is unbiased for population proportion and is always more efficient than Greenberg et al. (1969) usual estimator. The conditions under which the proposed model is superior to Mangatts (1991, 1992) recent models have also been obtained.
