Plant parameters such as plant height, branch and leaf number/plant, leaf area/plant, total dry mass/plant, photosynthesis, harvest index, chlorophyll, nitrate reductase and number of pods/plant increased significantly with the increasing concentration of chitosan up to 50 ppm.
