Hypothermia: depression of tricarboxylic acid cycle flux and evidence for pentose phosphate shunt upregulation

Abstract

The results of this study suggest that an increased fraction of glucose metabolism was shunted through the pentose phosphate pathway in the presence of hypothermia.
