A Wide-Input–Wide-Output (WIWO) DC–DC Converter

Abstract

<para xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"> This paper presents a new wide-input–wide-output dc–dc converter, which is an integration of buck and boost converters via a tapped inductor. Coherent transition between step-down and step-up modes is achieved by a proper control scheme. This paper presents theoretical concepts and experimental results. </para>
