Abstract

We present a goal-oriented error estimator for steady fluid-structure-interaction\nproblems. As a model problem, we consider steady incompressible flow in a 2D channel\nwith a flexible segment. We introduce the reference domain approach where the fluid\nproblem on the variable domain is transformed to a fixed reference-domain. This allows\nthe formulation of an appropriate dual problem. The dual solution is then used in the\nevaluation of the error estimate, as usual. We perform numerical experiments employing\nthe error estimate in an adaptive mesh refinement procedure.
