The theoretical operation of class E frequency multipliers has been described without experimental verification by Kozyrev [16]. To provide experimental verification, three class E multipliers were tested, then measured and theoretical performances were compared. In each case, agreement was fair to poor. The principal cause of the disagreement is Kozyrev's assumption of bi-directional switch characteristics, inapplicable to present transistors.
