The prediction of hydrate formation in condensed systems

Abstract

Abstract The experimental work reported here gives hydrate forming conditions in the water liquid‐hydrocarbon liquid‐hydrate region for five mixtures of methane and n ‐butane. Data available in the literature were used to establish the parameters in a computer program for predicting hydrate forming conditions in condensed systems. The method is shown to be reliable for several systems of widely variable composition.
