Keys to the Adult Ticks of Haemaphysalis Koch, 1844, in Thailand with Notes on Changes in Taxonomy (Acari: Ixodoidea: Ixodidae)

Abstract

Specimens of the genus Haemaphysalis collected in Thailand were examined, and a key to the adult of 24 species belonging to six subgenera is presented. We propose that H. wellingtoni Nuttall & Warburton, 1908, be placed in the subgenus Kaiseriana; H. obesa Larrousse, 1925, be moved from Segalia to Kaiseriana; and that H. cornigera Neumann, 1897, be removed from the species list of Thailand.
