Central Insulin Regulates Heart Rate and Arterial Blood Flow

Abstract

Central insulin has cardiovascular effects in conscious, freely moving mice that are mediated, at least in part, by central neural eNOS. These effects are impaired in insulin-resistant high-fat diet-fed mice.
