Folded overthrusts at Aljustrel (South Portugal)

Abstract

SUMMARY The Upper Palaeozoic rocks in the Aljustrel area of South Portugal suffered strong Hercynian deformation, including isoclinal overturned shearfolding of two important thrust planes bringing sub-Culm strata over Culm.
