Abstract Experimental solubility data of the nonsteroidal anti‐inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) ibuprofen, salicylic acid, and naproxen as well as of the plant‐derived active component phytosterol have been determined in aqueous stabilizer solutions as a function of stabilizer concentration. SDS, Solutol® HS15, Tween® 20, Tween® 80, polidocanol, Lutrol® F68, PVP 10, PVP K25, and PVP K90 were chosen to solubilize the drugs. Furthermore, the influence of temperature, buffer, and pH value of the aqueous solution on drug solubility was investigated.
