Sclerosing mesenteritis represents a single disease with two radiologically different variants. In an appropriate clinical setting, radiologic features can suggest the diagnosis, delineate the extent of the process, and prescribe or limit surgical procedures. The "fat ring" sign and the presence of a tumoral pseudocapsule are important findings for the diagnosis of the disease.
