Hetarynes VII. Evidence for the occurrence of 2,3‐pyridyne and some of its derivatives as intermediates in various reactions

Abstract

Abstract Reactions of halogenopyridines, halogenopyridine‐ N ‐oxides and ethoxy derivatives of these compounds are described proceeding presumably via 2,3‐pyridyne, 2,3‐pyridyne‐ N ‐oxide, 4‐ethoxy‐2,3‐pyridyne and 4‐ethoxy‐2,3‐pyridyne‐ N ‐oxide as intermediates.
