A combination of the mobility and teletraffic models is proposed based on the next-event time-advance approach. The generalized gamma distribution is used to describe user's cell residence time distribution. The influence of cell size on new and handover call blocking probabilities is examined. Finally, the effect of the channel reservation policy on dropout probability is investigated to determine optimum number of reserved channels for handover.
