Pregnancy Does Not Enhance Volatile Anesthetic Sensitivity on the Brain

Abstract

This electroencephalographic study has shown that pregnancy does not enhance hypnotic effect of sevoflurane. These results suggested that the decrease in minimum alveolar concentration during pregnancy does not mean an enhanced volatile anesthetic effect on the brain.
