Testosterone-1,2-3H with a high specific radioactivity was given intramuscularly to mature castrated rats. A selective uptake of androgen was found in the seminal vesicle, with a concentration of radioactivity about 13 times higher than in muscle 4 hr after the injection. Only in a few of the animals were appreciable amounts of radioactivity detected in the seminal vesicle fluid. The supernatant of the seminal vesicle after homogenization and ultracentrifugation contained part of the radioactivity in a macromolecular fraction excluded from Sephadex G-100 gel. This material might represent an androgen receptor. (Endocrinology84: 963, 1969)
