Abstract

Embedding a digital watermark in an electronic document is proving to be a feasible solution for multimedia copyright protection and authentication purposes. In the present paper we propose a new digital video watermarking scheme based on principal component analysis. A video file is a continuous collection of static images, and each image is composed of three color channels, our proposed algorithms allow us to embed a watermark in the three color channels RGB of an input video file. The preliminary results show a high robustness against most common video attacks, especially frame dropping, cropping and rescaling for a good perceptual quality.
