SCF calculations for hydrogen in a spherical box

Abstract

SCF calculations for a hydrogen atom in a spherical box have been performed. The basis functions are products of STO’s and cutoff functions. The variations of the energy and the hyperfine splitting as functions of r0, the sphere radius, have been studied.
