Abstract

Eosinophilic fasciitis is a rare disorder with the characteristics of scleroderma-like illness. Until relatively recently, imaging has played little role in the diagnosis of this condition, although previous authors have reported that magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) may be useful in eosinophilic fasciitis diagnosis.1–4 We recently observed a case, which is of particular interest, as it suggests that fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (FDG PET) may be a useful test for diagnosis of eosinophilic fasciitis in patients.
