A series of silver triphenylphosphine complexes containing pyridyl chacogenolate (S, Se) ligands has been synthesized by employing [AgCl(PPh<sub>3</sub>)<sub>3</sub>] and [Ag<sub>2</sub>(μ-Cl)<sub>2</sub>(PPh<sub>3</sub>)<sub>4</sub>].
