The Structure of N18

Abstract

The structural relationships that control the behavior of the disk alloy N18, in current use at SNECMA, were studied. The alloy, in the fully heat-treated condition, contains three sizes of gamma prime. The largest, 4.3~ diameter, termed primary, forms during forging. The secondary, 0.2wr in Cr, Co and MO.
