New prediction method of cloud attenuation

Abstract

A new method for cloud attenuation calculation on an earth–satellite link is presented. The method uses temperature and humidity profiles as input parameters. The method has been applied to radiosonde measurements and to the gridded data of the numerical analyses of ECMWF.
