Prevalence of and risk indicators for chronic periodontitis in males from Campeche, Mexico

Abstract

Many study participants had poor periodontal conditions, with substantial overall prevalence of periodontitis. Older age, tobacco use and the presence of gingivitis were factors associated with periodontitis prevalence.
