Abstract

The hierarchical structure of realistic quark and lepton masses is investigated on the basis of a three-family model, where masses and mixings of the first- and second-generation quarks are successfully described by lepton masses only. An excellent prediction ${m}_{\ensuremath{\tau}}=1.7866$ GeV is obtained from the input data ${m}_{e}$ and ${m}_{\ensuremath{\mu}}$ only.
