Taxonomic Notes on a Collection of Jumping Spiders from Iran (Araneae, Salticidae)

Abstract

Summary An annotated list of 10 salticid species collected in the Khuzestan province of Iran is given. A new species, Menemerus errabundus sp. n. ( _ ), is diagnosed, figured and described. Three species, Heliophanus edentulus Simon, 1871, Marpissa nivoyi (Lucas, 1846) and Plexippus clemens (O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1872), are recorded from Iran for the first time. Additional new faunistic records from the Mediterranean region and Turkey are given for five species.
