A system-wide approach to explaining variation in potentially avoidable emergency admissions: national ecological study

Abstract

Interventions to reduce avoidable admissions should be targeted at deprived communities. Better use of emergency departments, ambulance services and primary care could further reduce avoidable emergency admissions.
