[Inicio] The lichen genus Bactrospora A. Massal. is widely distributed in tropical, subtropical and temperate regions of both hemispheres, and most of its species are corticolous. In the revision of the genus by Egea £ Torrente (1993), 21 species and one variety were accepted. From this revision, and the subsequent report of B. brodoi Egea € Torrente from Fennoscandia by Nordin (1996), five species have hitherto been reported from Europe, all of them epiphytic, except for one collection of B. patellarioides ONyl.)
