Abstract

The presence of a triangular-shaped avascular intratesticular lesion on sonography or MRI and enhancement of the surrounding borders on enhanced MR images may suggest a presurgical diagnosis of segmental testicular infarction and therefore avoid a total orchiectomy in these patients.
