Right ventricle Tei-index: A tool to increase the accuracy of non-invasive detection of pulmonary arterial hypertension in connective tissue diseases

Abstract

The accuracy of echocardiography for the detection of PAH increases when the echocardiographic systolic PAP is combined with an elevated RV Tei-index. As a result, by applying the Tei-index, the number of negative catheterizations can be minimized.
