The oxaziridine OXA[2-phenylsulphonyl-3-(p-nitrophenyl)oxaziridine] is shown to be an effective oxene equivalent transfer agent to (tetraphenylporphinato)manganese(III)[ClMnIII(TPP)] allowing ClMnIII(TPP) catalysis of the oxidation of hydrocarbons by OXA.
