The title compound 2 contains an FeCReRe unit . This 1,3‐dimetallaallene is a novel example of the rare carbide‐bridged complexes. 2 is formed on reaction of the dichlorocarbene complex 1 with pentacarbonylrhenate (TPP  tetra‐phenylporphyrinate). equation image
