Energy and ancillary service dispatch in a competitive pool

Abstract

Competitive bidding in a pool electricity market is likely to extend beyond energy to include ancillary services. The purpose of this paper is to identify and analyze alternative methods for dispatching ancillary services in a pool-oriented electricity market.
