AZFc rearrangements/polymorphisms are transmitted to sons and may represent a risk factor for decreased testis function and male subfertility, which needs confirmation in further studies in larger cohorts. However, deletions of two DAZ gene copies are compatible with normal spermatogenesis and fertility.
